The vehicle will be commercially launched in mid-2023 by two joint ventures FAW Volkswagen and SAIC Volkswagen. The vehicle will then also be launched in Europe and North America and become the global flagship of the electric vehicle manufacturer.

Structurally, the car is very aerodynamically efficient, as its drag coefficient is only 0.23. Aerodynamics has become one of the keys to increasing the cruising range to approximately 620 km on the WLTP cycle. Previously, the company talked about a cruising range of 700 km . The battery has a capacity of 77 kWh.

Instead of traditional door handles, the car has illuminated touch panels where the door handles are hidden, 22-inch wheels, and front and rear LED panels.

In Europe, the car will be built in Emden, where the company also recently started production of the Volkswagen ID 4.
