China is the largest automotive market for electric vehicles. A huge selection of cars is available to customers. They can afford expensive and powerful cars, as well as very affordable small cars.

For example, the Wuling HongGuang Mini EV, which sold nearly 400,000 units in China in 2021, or the Chery QQ Ice Cream, which has a starting price of less than $5,000.

China can now look forward to a completely new model that is as affordable as the previous ones. This BAW Yuanbao is 3162mm long, 1498mm wide and 1585mm high. With a wheelbase of 2050 mm, BAW Yuanbao is slightly larger than its rivals, perhaps this will convince buyers.

The cabin has a digital environment, represented by two 10.25-inch screens. This small, inexpensive car could even benefit from a 360° camera, parking sensors, hill start assist, and high-end airbags. Its trunk is small, but not 2, but 4 people can fit in the cabin. But the two rear seats feel very cramped, so they don't fit tall adults.

The electric motor in BAW Yuanbao is mounted at the rear, its power is 27 hp with a torque of 85 Nm. The maximum speed of the electric vehicle is 100 km/h. It may not seem like much, but we must not forget that this car will be mainly used in the city. With a 9.6 kWh battery, the BAW Yuanbao provides a range of 120 km. Customers looking for more range can opt for a 13.6kWh battery to drive 170km on a single charge.
