The BMW i4 eDrive35 joins the i4 eDrive40 and i4 M50 models that debuted last year.
The modification is equipped with one electric motor, which is mounted on the rear axle, the power is 210 kW (286 hp) and 400 Nm of torque. The consumed battery capacity is 66 kWh - against 81.5 kWh, which are equipped with other modifications. The new battery pack is smaller and charges more slowly: the maximum charging power has been reduced from 200 to 180kW. It takes 32 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%. A full charge should be enough for 490 kilometers on the WLTP cycle.
At the same time, the BMW i4 eDrive35 is almost as dynamic as the 340-horsepower i4 eDrive40: the acceleration time to 100 km/h has increased from 5.7 seconds to 6 seconds. But the range of the i4 eDrive40 is as much as 100 kilometers more.
Otherwise, the new modification is no different from the i4 eDrive40: it has a similar set of standard and optional equipment, including a curved display running the eighth generation operating system that combines the instrument panel and the infotainment complex screen.
Production of the BMW i4 eDrive35 will not start at the Munich plant until November, but orders for this modification are already being accepted. In USA it will cost $52,395, $3,505 less than the next highest version. For the top i4 M50 in the States they ask from $ 67,300.
