Mercedes-Benz is currently accepting orders for the most powerful version of the EQE, the E-Class electric car counterpart, to begin with. The Mercedes-AMG EQE 43 4MATIC+ is available from €109,000. Like the regular versions, the EQE 53 4MATIC+ is based on the Mercedes EVA2 architecture for luxury and high-end electric vehicles. There are also special AMG options for more dynamics and luxury.

Changes to the drivetrain, chassis, brakes and sound ensure brand-typical driving performance, even with all-electric drive. Exterior and interior design complements the car's sporty look

The drive concept with one electric motor on the front and rear axles delivers up to 505kW (687 hp) and a maximum torque of 1000Nm. Fully adjustable all-wheel drive, designed for optimal transfer of driving power to the road, is standard. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/h.

The range of the EQE 53 4MATIC+ is 525 kilometers according to the WLTP standard. The battery can be charged with direct current (DC) fast charging up to 170kW. According to AMG, 180 kilometers of electricity can be charged in 15 minutes. The built-in charger for more leisurely alternating current (AC) charging can consume 11kW or 22kW (optional). The combined energy consumption of EQE 53 4MATIC+ is 22.6 and 20.2 kWh/100km.


The EQE 53 4MATIC+ comes as standard with 20" AMG 5 split-spoke light alloy wheels, air spring chassis with adaptive damping control and active rear wheel steering. There is also "Digital Light" with AMG projection function, "AMG Sound Experience" and AMG seats in microfiber leatherette with red stitching. In addition, the electric car has a "performance steering wheel" with perforated leather and AMG steering wheel buttons. Different levels of recuperation are set using silver-coloured aluminum petals.
