Earlier this year, the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance presented a development roadmap and announced a new generation of the ASX crossover, which will be built on the CMF-B platform. Now, the European office of the Japanese brand spoke about what power plants the model will receive. As expected, they are all borrowed from the related Renault Captur.
The three-cylinder engine with a volume of 1 liter MPI-T, whose power is 92 hp, with a 6-speed manual transmission, will be responsible for the movement. Above is a four-cylinder 1.3-liter DI-T engine with 140 and 158 hp. In the 140 hp version. a manual transmission is paired with a 158-horsepower engine, a 7-speed robotic gearbox and a dual clutch are required.
The self-charging hybrid version has 145 hp. It is based on a 1.6-liter engine that runs on gasoline. Together with it, small electric motors are installed. The battery, whose capacity is 1.3 kWh, will allow you to move in electric mode. The PHEV model offers a 1.6-liter unit with two electric motors. The performance of the installation is 160 hp. This version provides a 10.5 kWh battery with support for charging from the network, which allows you to drive on electricity up to 50 km.
The debut of the new generation Mitsubishi ASX is scheduled for this year. The manufacturer will begin commercial launch next spring.
