Hedin Mobility Group announced a new partnership with BYD in a press release, describing its "dealer+" role for the Chinese automaker's entry into the electric vehicle markets in Germany and Sweden. As part of the new partnership, Hedin Mobility said it will sell and distribute BYD electric passenger vehicles and provide after-sales service.

The dealership model will include "Innovative BYD Stores" in both EU markets, where consumers can experience electric vehicles up close. According to the “dealer+”, these outlets are being set up in major cities in both countries, with the first opening in Stockholm, Sweden, this October.

We are pleased to provide the German and Swedish society with the world's leading technology through our inspiring range of new energy passenger cars. We believe now is the perfect time to meet consumer demand for more sustainable solutions. Our partnership with the respected Hedin Mobility Group has great potential in Sweden and Germany and will support the entire customer service process every step of the way. Together we look forward to developing a sustainable transport future in both countries

Hedin Mobility Group has stated that it will sell BYD electric vehicles through its dealer group Hedin Bil in Sweden and through a "selected range of premium dealers" in Germany. Sales are expected to begin this October, with first deliveries expected in the fourth quarter of 2022.

However, none of the companies has announced which BYD electric vehicles will be available in the EU. These available models, as well as their specifications and prices, as well as dealer addresses, will be published in September.
