The lucky owner of the first all-electric Genesis was Patricia Wayne from Los Angeles, who chose the color of the car Uyuni White. Initially, the Genesis GV60 will only be offered at select dealerships in several states: California, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. The company will gradually expand its availability, but this may require a significant increase in production.

The Genesis GV60 sits alongside the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 premium vehicles and is the third E-GMP model in the lineup. The GV60 is only available in an all-wheel drive version with two motors and a 77.4 kWh battery for an MSRP of $58,890 and a range of 248 miles on a full charge.

Genesis is set to launch two new models this summer, the Electrified G80 all-electric sedan and the Electrified GV70 all-electric SUV. The Electrified GV70 will be the first Genesis model to be built in the US and outside of South Korea.
