NIO has shipped its first ET7 flagship sedan to Europe. The company said the electric car will be available for order and delivery this year in Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden.

The ET7 is not the first electric car to debut in Europe, the first was the ES8 SUV that was launched in Norway last year. In April this year, the electric sedan received European Community Whole Vehicle Approval (EWVTA).

The NIO ET7 went into production in March 2022, with deliveries in China starting at the end of March. NIO has sold 10,000 EVs in its home market and now wants to boost sales with an expansion in Europe. Test models of the ET7 were recently spotted in Germany ahead of the model's release.

The ET7 is the first NIO model to be based on the second generation NT2.0 technology platform, which offers over 100 comfort, safety and smart technology configurations as standard.

All ET7 models are equipped with a twin-motor all-wheel drive power plant with a total output of 644 hp, NIO offers the ET7 with three battery options in China: 75 kWh, 100 kWh and 150 kWh. Deliveries with a 150kWh battery have yet to begin, but it is expected to provide a range of up to 1,000 kilometers on the NEDC cycle.

European specifications and battery availability have not yet been announced.
