Equilibre starting price £35,995. As standard Equilibre the car comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, black fabric seat upholstery, air conditioning, a heated steering wheel and heated front seats.
Equilibre models are equipped with a rearview camera as well as rear parking sensors, a digital instrument display and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Connecting will probably be using Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, updates can be received over the air.
Also added is a five-meter charging cable, keyless entry and a wide range of safety assistance systems that includes autonomous emergency braking and lane keeping assist.
The Techno trim adds adaptive cruise control to this list, allowing the car to automatically maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front. Blind-spot intervention is also added, along with 20-inch alloy wheels, grey-black synthetic leather upholstery and dual-zone climate control, as well as automatic wipers.
Also available is a special UK-exclusive Launch Edition, featuring 20" alloy wheels, a Harman Kardon sound system, 3D camera 360-degree vision, and “F1 gold blade” on the bumpers.
Regardless of trim, all Megane E-Tech will come with the same electric powertrain, combining a 215 hp electric motor. The battery can be charged up to 130 kW. It is possible to increase the power reserve up to 300 km in 30 minutes. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km per hour will be 7.5 seconds. The maximum speed is limited and is only 160 km per hour.
