The Fisker Ocean SUV will go on sale in Europe and the US later this year. The first 55 Fisker Ocean prototypes have already rolled off the assembly line. After the completion of various tests, the mass production of the e-SUV is expected to begin on November 17, 2022.

Competitor VW ID.4 and Tesla Model Y built in three different versions with two types of batteries. One of them is based on cheaper LFP lithium iron phosphate cells. The first edition of 5,000 copies is now completely sold out. Interested parties were required to make an advance payment of $5,000 at the time of booking.

The quality of the prototype still needs to be improved before we go into full production as some of the parts are early parts of the prototype, but this gives us time for even more refinement. Having driven the test vehicles around the fast track in Italy and through the streets of Los Angeles, I am delighted with all the features we are going to offer in the Fisker Ocean and how great the electric car will drive

The total number of Fisker Ocean booked in addition to the special model as of August 1, 2022 amounted to more than 56,000 units. Starting November 18, the day after the start of Ocean production, the company will open pre-orders for the Ocean Extreme variant, followed by Ultra and Sport trims in the first quarter of 2023.

Good news for the Magna plant in Graz, Austria: The Fisker Ocean SUV, which will be produced there from November 2022, is selling better than expected. Therefore, Fisker hopes that the plant will be able to increase production to 150,000 units from 2024. This will be a threefold increase, previously planned only 50,000 units per year.
