Stellantis increased global sales of electric vehicles by 50%

The company managed to increase sales of electric vehicles to 136,000 units per year

According to the company, this puts it in second place in the EU 30 market in sales of BEV and LEV(Light Electric Vehicles). Light electric vehicles include battery electric vehicles (BEV), plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV), although Stellantis does not offer the latter. The distance to the unnamed leader is less than 1000 cars. The company ranks third in the US market for LEV sales, according to the statement.

As part of the strategic plan "Dare Forward 2030" Stellantis promotes its projects related to sustainable mobility. The company currently offers 20 all-electric vehicles of all brands. By 2024 it is planned to launch 28 more electric vehicles.

In its announcement, the group also confirmed the presence of five battery gigafactories - three in Europe and two in North America. The company wants to partner with a purpose-built joint venture (together with Total and Mercedes-Benz) Automotive Cells Company, Samsung SDI and LG Energy Solution.
