Volkswagen is ending production of the ID. Buzz first of the week. This is due to battery quality issues. According to the information, there is a problem with the battery from the new supplier, so only the Hannover plant will be affected and not other MEB plants.

Some cell modules are said not to provide the desired performance. The result is voltage fluctuations that shorten the range of the vehicle and adversely affect its service life. The company confirmed that the supplier's quality check revealed deficiencies, but did not provide any details.

Since the start of production at the beginning of the month, about 500 ID. Buzz was produced but not shipped to customers. The battery cell supplier is already working on the problem, the company said.
